Bright, deep ruby-red. Enticing violet perfume lifts the pure aromas of cassis, mocha and exotic spices. Creamy, lush and deep, but with a lovely light touch for such a rich wine. More red fruits than black in the mouth. Utterly seductive, beautifully balanced cabernet with a very subtle yet palate-staining finish featuring thoroughly buffered tannins. Even more palate-caressing than the 2009, but also built for a graceful evolution in bottle. -- Stephen Tanzer 93Another brilliant offering is the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Georges de Latour Private Reserve. It possesses a dense ruby/purple color along with terrific structure, lots of creme de cassis, minerality, beautiful purity of black currants and cherries, a judicious touch of oak, and a full-bodied, structural profile that is almost Bordeaux-like. This complete, rich and promising effort should be a 25-30-year wine. Robert Parker 93
