Valentine's Day Roses or Rose

Dom Ruinart Brut Rosé

“Sharply focused red berry and tangerine scents are complicated by suggestions of allspice and cinnamon, with a hint of smokiness in the background. Sappy and minerally on the palate, offering fresh strawberry and blood orange flavors lifted by juicy acidity. Packs a serious punch but carries no excess weight and finishes stony and very long, with echoing red berry character.” ~ Josh Raynolds, Vinous

2005 Bollinger Grande Annee Brut - Rose
Wonderfully aromatic and finely detailed,
with a layered profile of dried apricot, raw almond, honey, ground coffee, nutmeg and orange bergamot. Shows power and focus, yet this is set in a sleek, finely knit frame. The chalky minerality firms the
long, smoky finish. Disgorged July 2015.
Drink now through 2026. 100 cases imported.

Roederer Estate Brut Rosé Anderson Valley

“Wonderful complex aromas and flavors, with smooth creamy vanilla notes, lots of delicate black cherry, herb, spice and pear flavors, showing lots of finesse. Long and complex on the finish.” ~ The Wine Spectator

2014 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet

“The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley has a dense opaque purple color, a kiss of blackberry and cassis fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel with ripe tannin and a long finish. It is very Caymus in its immediate accessibility, but has plenty of staying power and depth. This is lush, full, intense and pure. Drink it over the next 15 or so years.” ~ Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

Francoise Bedel “Vin Secret” Brut

“scents of coriander and mint prominent, and those of apple, winter pear, and almond … on a coolly restrained, silken textured palate. Cleansing yet clinging, the lusciously lingering finish subtly glows with an aura of herbal essences.” ~

Dave’s Pick

Adobe Guadalupe 2010 Rafael
“Library Release”

Adobe Guadalupe is one of Mexico’s most celebrated wineries. The 2010 Rafael is a powerful blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon with 32% Nebbiolo. I recently pulled a bottle of this wine from my own cellar to celebrate my birthday. Very full-bodied, ripe and generous in both aroma and palate, this may well be one of the winery’s all-time greatest wines. We asked Adobe Guadalupe owner Trudi Miller for some direct from the winery’s “library”. If you are planning a special dinner for Valentine’s Day, this is a special bottle to match the occasion! – David Clark, Wine Manager

2013 Schramsberg Blanc de Blanc Brut

California’s first true traditional French method sparkling wine, and still one of the best! The 2013 Blanc de Blancs has bright and fresh aromas of grapefruit, lime, green apple and white apricot. The fragrance of fruit is complemented with hints of yeast, white flowers, spicy ginger and fresh honeycomb. The lime, tangerine and pear flavors are tart and refreshing on entry. The palate is crisp with long lingering acidity.

Marc Hebrart Blanc de Blanc

1er Cru Mareuil-sur-Ay

“The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru is another wine that is vibrant and totally alive in the glass. This is a generous, relatively broad-shouldered Blanc de Blancs with lovely depth and roundness. Sweet, floral and expressive, the Blanc de Blancs shows the richer side of Chardonnay.”  – Antonio Galloni for Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
